Project Description
AI social science focuses on understanding how artificial intelligence technologies influence human behavior, social interaction, public opinion, and institutional decision-making, using interdisciplinary approaches from social science and data science.
This project supports the development of an interdisciplinary research initiative in AI social science. Student helpers will assist with literature synthesis, case analysis, and the drafting and revision of research reports. No safety training is required for participation in this project.

Applicant's Roles
Student helpers will support the project through academic assistance tasks, including literature search and synthesis, data organization and documentation, basic case mapping, transcription and annotation, formatting and proofreading of research materials, and logistical support for seminars and research activities. They will not engage in independent data collection involving human subjects or operate specialized equipment.
Applicant's Learning Objectives
Applicants will acquire practical training in interdisciplinary AI social science research, including systematic literature mapping, case analysis, and research documentation. They will learn how social theories, data-driven methods, and AI tools are combined to analyze how digital platforms and intelligent systems influence human behavior, governance, and public discourse. The project also aims to cultivate critical thinking, research integrity awareness, and collaborative research skills.
