Investigation of CP symmetry in neutrino oscillation
Project Description
There are three types of neutrinos in Nature. When they travel in space, they can transform from one type to the other kind. This phenomenon is called neutrino oscillation. An open question is whether neutrino oscillation is the same as anti-neutrino oscillation, with anti-neutrino being the anti-particle of the neutrino. This is a manifestation of CP symmetry. The goals of this project are carrying out R&D on liquid argon time projection chamber (LArTPC) which is the detector technology used in the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE), analysing simulated and real data collected with LArTPC prototypes.
