Time crystal and anomalous attraction in driven granular matter
Project Description
A monolayer of steel spheres placed on a vertically vibrating stage may form a time crystal, where the system's dynamics break temporal symmetry. Additionally, the driven granular medium may generate an effective attraction between two tracer spheres. This project aims to experimentally investigate either one or both phenomena. We will track particle trajectories by image analysis and quantify the systems under various conditions.
