Assess User Experience to Design Effective Visual Representation and Interaction in Virtual Reality
Project Description
With the development of immersive technology, VR/AR devices are becoming more affordable and accessible for normal people. Some enterprises and research institutes begin to think about the designs or applications in virtual reality for the future (e.g., virtual meetings, virtual classes, or virtual social platforms). However, there is still a lot of work to be done to understand the user experience before designing prototypes or developing applications in the virtual world.

At present, most people have little experience in using virtual reality applications, and most of them just have the experience of 3D games. This project aims to assess the user experience of ordinary users through user studies and explore the potential design or prototypes for virtual world applications. This project will encourage students to experience some current VR applications and then participate in the brainstorming design and development of VR prototypes. Students will also be involved in the VR experiment as an assistant to observe users' experiences and collect feedback during the experiment.
