Clearing nanoplastic pollutants in lung cells using traditional Chinese medicine
Project Description
Plastics are widely used all over the world and slowly degraded into nanoplastics ( Airborne nanoplastics can be inhaled by humans and can cross cells in lungs and accumulate in tissues and organs, causing adverse effects in health. For example, nanoplastics can cause respiratory diseases including pulmonary infection and lung cancer. However, there is no effective way to prevent nanoplastics from accumulating or entering cells in lung. In this study, we will develop traditional Chinese medicine to clearing these nanoplastics in lung and prevent pulminary infection.
