Construction and application of surface enhanced Raman spectrometer in biomolecules characterization
Project Description
Surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) is a powerful surface-sensitive analytical technique that utilizes Nano material to enhance Raman response to yield single molecule sensitivity in biomedical research. In this project, students will learn the foundation of SERS and enjoy a hands-on experience of constructing a SERS experimental platform. Biomolecules such as DNA and protein will be characterized using the device built by students to reveal structural information at the molecular level.
