CRISPR/Cas9 analysis of essential genes
Project Description
The CRISPR/Cas9 technology has revolutionised the ability to perform gene editing including gene knockout in mammalian cells. Knockout of genes essential for cell growth, however, is not possible using CRISPR/Cas9 alone. This project involves the use of inducible systems to disrupt essential genes and study their functions in cancer cells.
