DESIGN OF INTEGRATED AMPLIFIERS
Project Description
The objective of this project is to design a low-voltage low-power CMOS variable-gain amplifier (VGA) that can operate at low supply voltages while still achieving reasonable gain and bandwidth. In addition to traditional amplifier design topologies, amplifiers employing current mirrors and CMOS in weak inversion will also be investigated. An amplifier prototype will be designed, simulated, and laid out using Cadence. If time allows, the prototype will be also submitted for fabrication and demonstration.
