Development of Asymmetric Reactions
Project Description
This project will mainly focus on the development of new organic reactions or new organic catalysts for organic reaction in the domain of asymmetric organocatalysis. In this project, various chiral catalysts and reaction parameters (such as solvents, temperature, and additives) will be evaluated systematically to achieve high selectivity and efficiency for new useful synthesis of chiral molecules.

Applicant's Roles
The applicant is expected to work together with a senior researcher in this project. At the early stage, the role of the applicant will be to assist the senior researcher and at the same time to get training on fundamental synthetic techniques, such as column purification and substrate synthesis. Gradually, the applicant is expected to spend time evaluating reaction parameters and analyzing reaction results.
