An electrodeposition robot
Project Description
The project aims to assemble commercial robot arms and automation systems into a platform for high-throughput experiments of electrochemical deposition of metals. The student will work with senior members of the lab to design, procure, assemble, and test the system, including the hardware, the electrochemical cell, and the control algorithm. The eventual goal is to speed up the discovery of experimental conditions for uniform electrodeposition, which is important in advanced manufacturing and novel electrochemical devices (e.g., zinc metal batteries).
