How cells safeguard mitochondria, the powerhouse of the cell?
Project Description
Mitochondrial quality control pathways are key in the maintenance of mitochondrial health. In this project, the student will study how key quality control pathways on the mitochondria work to maintain the proteomic and genomic homeostasis. The project will involve hands on experiments using multiple methods including cryo-EM/cryo-ET, cell biology and proteomics.
