This research course explores the fast‑growing longevity economy, also known as the silver economy, driven by global population ageing. It examines market demands, consumption patterns and unmet needs of older adults across healthcare, housing, digital services and leisure sectors. Students will analyse real‑world business cases, policy frameworks and social shifts reshaping industries for an ageing society. The course connects demographic data with commercial innovation, highlighting both market opportunities and ethical challenges. Participants will develop critical thinking to evaluate products, services and business models targeting senior consumers. By the end, learners gain research‑oriented insights to assess future trends and practical implications of the longevity economy.
