Preparation of Cyclodextrin MOF Based Materials
Project Description
To prepare cyclodextrin (CD) based MOF network materials. Cyclodextrin may be alpha- beta or gamma-CD, the metals may be Na+, K+, Rb+, Mg2+, Ca2+, Sr2+ or various transition metals. The materials have been reported by other groups and may have useful sorption or host properties. We will extend range of synthetic approaches and scope of metals and solvents used, including use of non-toxic Poly Ethylene Glycol (PEG) media.
