the project involves developing procedures for placing graphene on
various substrates to produce large and clean structures for measurement
of the Casimir force in subsequent experiments.

Applicant's Roles
The participant will be trained to transfer graphene onto substrates
such as oxide layers or oxide gratings on silicon. Different conditions will be
tested with the goal of obtaining samples with minimal amount of organic
contaminants and a reasonable yield.
Applicant's Learning Objectives
The student is expected to be able to transfer graphene onto the substrates.
The student is expected to be able to inspect the sample for cleanliness and
optimize the transfer process.
