The research is motivated by the project management in a manufacturing company. The clients require daily updating of the progress of their orders, which causes repetition and redundancy, and sometimes even inconsistency, in information transferring. Realizing the real interests of the clients are the completion time, we propose a new scheme for updating the project progress, reducing the information updating frequency and enriching the updating quality, in particular, with the forecast of the completion time. We will address when and how to determine the updating points.
